StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:
The ITW StampTech Fastener Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Locations include Gallatin, TN, Lexington, KY & Naugatuck, CT.
The Division drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering. Job Description
The Product Engineer Intern will provide coordination and alignment to engineering goals.
- Responsible for understanding the customer's requirements to design, develop, and validate a solution using engineering methods (such as FEA, DOE, etc) to meet or exceed customer's performance requirements.
Support part proliferation activities to ensure a successful new business kickoff (ex: PDC, MDR, ECN). - Generate and/or make changes to CAD drawings for new and existing products.
Support customer launch and post launch improvement activities to reinforce the trusted advisor trait. - Able to take a high level of accountability and ownership for personal and company performance.
- Able to communicate both verbal and written with clarity and simplicity.
- Exemplifies a strategic-thinking approach and process to program management.
- Able to make decisions and use critical thinking and analytical approaches when weighing options.
- Nurturing an environment consistent with the ITW values and culture.

- Must be pursuing bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous experience working with CAD and AutoCAD
- Excellent analytical skills and proficient with computer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to persuade others to change existing practices
- Strong attention to detail & ability to manage projects
- Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
