Job Description
To support business growth, we are currently seeking an Equipment Assembler within our Equipment production department to be based in our DeWitt, IA facility! Regular hours are;
- Monday to Thursday: 6:30AM to 4:00PM
- Friday 6:30AM to 10:30AM
- Overtime may be required.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and established manufacturing facility with a safety centered approach. Training and ongoing development will be provided. In the role of Equipment Assembler you will form part of a team, maintain high housekeeping standards and play an important part of serving our customers with excellence.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Promotes and follows all Safety and ISO guidelines and procedures.
- Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies
- Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts
- Assembles components using a variety of fasteners
- Measure components for inspection and fit
- Applies problem solving and basic math skills as required
- Conducts quality control checks
- Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product
- Monitors and manages inventory utilizing kanban system.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Reports maintenance issues.
- Contributes ideas to improve or optimize manufacturing procedure.
- Recommends safety improvements as necessary.
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools daily
- Transports parts and finished products via forklift (forklift training provided)
- Performs various other duties as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Basic computer skills knowledge.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations.
- Must be able to troubleshoot design during assembly and report findings to engineering.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Good level of attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions
- Ability to follow management requests and communicate effectively

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs
- Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
