Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Credit Processor to contribute to our Credit team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.

Primary responsibilities for the Process Analyst involve following established procedures to accurately review return paperwork and apply customer credits.  This includes processing credit/debit adjustments submitted by various approved sources.  You will perform basic math computations using 10-key by touch to verify calculations.  You’ll also complete the necessary system data entry to appropriately release credits and process debits to customer accounts according to established guidelines and timeframes.  This role involves utilizing basic to intermediate math concepts, word processing and spreadsheet applications, telephone and email skills, and 10-key by touch, performing necessary data entry and completing reviews of various audit reports.  You will be expected to effectively research and communicate problematic issues.  In addition, you will review email received in the Credit Processing email box and take appropriate action to resolve.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 year work experience that includes basic math computations, distribution processes and data entry functions
  • 1 year experience that includes Mainframe, AS400, OCR and/or document storage/retrieval systems, word processing, email and basic Excel spreadsheet skills to include formulas and data manipulation

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with 10-key by touch

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review product return paperwork provided from the Jackson and Ft. Wayne warehouses to determine if the return is eligible for hassle-free credit by using the information available in the order management system, Customer Care notes and review of the invoices/credits posted to the customer’s account.
  • Verify product purchase price and discount information by using the system or packing slip provided.
  • Perform data entry to update the Credit Processing system to include all essential information related to the return according to established guidelines.
  • Review requests submitted via the Customer Care Notice system and process adjustments following established guidelines. 
  • Process manual credit allowances and debits submitted by internal customers.
  • Review of weekly held and duplicate reports
  • Monitor the Credit Processing email box.  Take appropriate action to resolve incoming messages regarding errors, distribute and save reporting to the network, forward informational messages as necessary.
  • Assist other Ingram associates with issues using established guidelines.
  • Ensure all sign off authorization levels are met.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments related to the Credit Department as requested by management.
