Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a Professional Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and overseeing various engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for diverse projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Perform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure quality control
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD
- Advanced Training in Maintenance of Traffic (Temporary Traffic Control)
- Working knowledge and experience with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
- Working knowledge and experience with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Guide on Geometric Design
- Intimate knowledge of a Department of Transportation including their policies, practices, and applicable
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience in project management and team leadership
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation
- Familiarity with construction processes and materials
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel as needed

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $75,000- $110,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
