Job Description

Join Jack Link's as an Information Security Office Intern for Summer 2025! In this project-based internship, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through formal and informal training, visibility into threat intelligence, analyze the attack surface, review security platforms, troubleshoot problems, attending events, networking with fellow interns, working with key Jack Link’s leaders and team members. At the completion of your internship, you will conduct a final presentation on your internship experience.

As an Information Security Intern within Jack Link’s, you will work closely with the technology and business teams, gaining a deeper understanding on how the teams collaborate to ensure a safe and secure environment for our team members.

 Information Security Intern responsibilities:

  • Gain an understand of the entire Attack Surface
  • Gain understanding of MSFT O365 Security & Compliance Center and Azure Security Center
  • Gain understanding of Information Security tools for vulnerability management, assessments, cyber awareness, and alerts
  • Gain Experience securing large production environments
  • Gain Experience on physical security controls
  • Gain Experience in documentation creation and policy enforcements
  • Gain Experience and understanding of IT/OT space and vendor maintenance
  • Develop skills required to analyze, operate, and maintain security posture

 Information Security Office Business responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings between business teams, IT Infrastructure, and help desk teams
  • Identify and define business questions and associated Information Security needs
  • Partner with business team to create actionable Information Security deliverables and insights leveraging an iterative approach
  • Present Information Security deliverables to business partners for review and feedback
  • Final presentation to leadership team to recap experience

Qualifications

Experience with the following preferred:

  • Vulnerability Management consoles and patching (Nessus, Microsoft, or similar platforms)
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for logging and monitoring (Arctic Wolf or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Frameworks; NIST, ISO, CIS, etc.
  • Firewalls, Microsoft o365 and Azure
  • Knowledge of compliance and governance policies
  • Academic focus in Information Technology/Cybersecurity
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work with an iterative and incremental IT environment
  • Strong preference for candidates within a commutable distance to Minneapolis, MN
