Job Description

KIOXIA America, Inc. (KAI), formerly Toshiba Memory America, Inc., is looking for a Director of Supply Chain Management (SCM) to join our Operations team in our San Jose office. The Director of Supply Chain Manage KIOXIA America Supply Chain, Logistics, Post Sales Warranty & Reconfiguration Center operations activities for all KIOXIA Customers.  This role is visible and impactful and will play a vital part in leading the company’s supply chain and vendor management strategies to improve lead-times, reduce costs and promote continued company growth. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record in managing day-to-day complex dynamic supply chains with the ability to communicate strategic vision and execution plans to all levels of stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.

 This role reports to the Vice President, Operations and Business Planning.

 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee SCM planning staff to maintain complete supply balance and visibility for all KAI SSD inbound product segments.
  • Manage Supply Chain relationships with internal and external customers by monitoring, trending, analyzing, and aligning their key performance indicators through SCM dashboard metrics.
  • Lead supply chain team in meeting customer expectations for product reconfiguration needs and warranty support.
  • Manage and control aging inventory and communicate financial impacts to management. Effectively communicate high inventory exposure areas with the Business Unit leaders and recommend corrective actions.
  • Engage with Demand Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Business Unit leaders to ensure supply chain strategy is aligned with business strategy as well as supports varying customer expectations for lead time and service levels.
  • Develop future capabilities and long-term vision for a best-in-class supply chain and reverse logistics network.
  • Negotiate and define customers’ requirements/business terms and conditions and third-party service providers’ business terms and conditions via contract review activities for all Supply Chain functions.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation/Oversee Internal & External Audits: Minimize company risk and maintain company and legal compliance for all areas of functional responsibility via design, development, implementation, and management of appropriate and effective business process controls, policies, and procedures. 
  • Lead all KAI SSD BU Supply Chain functional teams during audit events, providing leadership, and liaison between business & audit teams.
  • Develop strategies and processes for analyzing customer returns, processing replacements or refunds to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize company expense.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, plus 10 years of supply chain, logistics or procurement management in the semiconductor industry and relevant experience in reconfiguration management.  Plus, proven leadership experience in managing high performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of international supply chain strategy, best practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leader and relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding managerial and employee development skills.  Self-motivated and holds themselves and others to very high standards of accountability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
  • Strong working proficiency with MS Office applications, ERP (SAP/Oracle); familiar with data analytic tools and able to provide executive-level reporting.
