Job Description
Since 2002, the overarching objective of the Child Care Licensing Program (CCLP) has been to expand the availability of quality child care in the District of Columbia. We believe that access to quality early childhood education is not only at the core of closing the achievement gap and promoting school readiness, but is also a key component in the financial autonomy of at-risk families.
We are now launching a new project to establish a Quality Improvement Hub for Family Child Care. Through this Hub, we will provide coaching around quality improvement and the Early Head Start Performance Standards, conduct eligibility for the child care subsidy program, and provide comprehensive services to enrolled children and families.
Responsibilities
- Determine subsidy and Early Head Start eligibility for parents
- Conduct developmental screenings and assessments for enrolled children
- Make referrals to in-network family child care providers and other Mary’s Center services as needed
- Conduct follow-up and manage monitoring for children and families on caseload
- Coordinate the Parent Policy Council
Provide coaching to providers on parent engagement and parent support strategies

- BA in Education, Early Childhood, Social Work
- Work experience in education, community development or related field
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) writing and communication skills
- Must attend some weekend and evening meetings and events
