Job Description
This opportunity is part of the US Technology Solution Readiness team where our mission is to deliver limitless technology solutions that make our Guest experience convenient and delightful, and enable Crew, Managers, and Owner Operators to Run Great Restaurants! Our technology powers all 13,000+ US restaurants and enables restaurant teams to serve millions of customers daily!
The Senior Manager Solution Readiness is responsible for managing product life cycle, market strategy, road map, feature prioritization, requirements, development, and market adoption for our bespoke Restaurant systems. Working with our restaurant product architects and custom application development team the Sr. Mgr. Solution Readiness will be expected to identify opportunities to optimize systems, adopt industry best practices, simplify upgrade processes, and standardize integrations with 3rd party systems. To be successful the Sr. Mgr. Solution Readiness must develop strong partnerships with global product owners, development teams, deployment and support teams, and business stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.
The Sr. Mgr. Solution Readiness is also a people leader for solution readiness managers and business technical analysts and is the owner of implementation decisions for the products. The ideal candidate will be results and measurement driven, an exceptional communicator, and exhibit teamwork and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous improvement environment. The successful candidate will also be recognized for his/her ability to attract and develop top talent for the leadership pipeline.
Key stakeholders include US Owner Operators, Operations Technology Professionals (“OTPs”), internal business areas such as Operations, Global Technology, Legal, and many others. Close partnership and active management of strategic technology vendors is critical to success.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of timely, high-quality, effective features/enhancements/builds for Restaurant Systems
- Leading development squads/vendor teams in evolution and testing of Restaurant Systems
- Lead demos and showcase new features to critical stakeholders
- Building out, maintaining, and prioritizing/grooming user stories, roadmaps, and aligning across US and Global stakeholders
- Managing both employees and vendor partners to successful, collaborative outcomes
- Partnering with deployment and support teams to ensure successful product launches as well as ensuring adoption of Global Technology engineering capabilities
- Ensure alignment of product roadmaps with US strategy and, where applicable, Global Technology Product roadmaps and vendor roadmaps
- Support a critical transformation effort to modernize McDonald’s Global Restaurant platform working with Global Technology and third-party vendors
- Understand and anticipate operations, crew, customer, and business needs
- Work closely with peer solution readiness managers and product owners across all channels and capabilities to prioritize initiatives, identify opportunities for teamwork, and coordinate product development and delivery
- Guide quality testing and Pilot testing for new product releases and features
- Provide people leadership for team members, professional development, and career pathing

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260-$190,310

Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant professional work experience in technology related field
- 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Product Manager eliciting/defining requirements, designing systems solutions, and managing business and technical requirements
- 1+ years of experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience developing solutions that provide high levels of resilience and scale
- Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable team player
- Experience partnering with team members in a large global matrix org structure
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and well versed in project management best practices
- Experience leading technical priorities and driving strategic architectural initiatives
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions with stakeholders of all levels of expertise
- Active coach and mentor whose goal is to grow and improve team members’ potential
- Experience working in McDonald's restaurants or equivalent QSRs
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Ability to balance multiple priorities successfully
- Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline is highly desired
