Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Chief Pastry to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play an essential role in creating exquisite pastries and desserts that exceed our guests' expectations. You will be responsible for crafting a diverse range of sweet offerings, ensuring high-quality standards, and following all hygiene and safety regulations in line with Dubai Municipality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create innovative and high-quality pastries, desserts, and other baked goods for hotel restaurants, banquets, and special events.
- Ensure that all baked goods and pastries are prepared and presented according to the hotel’s standard operating procedures and in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Supervise and train pastry kitchen team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, and monitor stock levels, ordering supplies when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, adhering to hygiene standards as outlined by the Dubai Municipality Food Safety Regulations.
- Monitor food presentation and taste to maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Work with the Head Chef to plan seasonal menus, special events, and promotions.
- Ensure the pastry department follows proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Chef de Partie, Pastry, with at least 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert plating, and international pastry trends.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality Food Safety Guidelines and HACCP standards.
- Ability to manage and lead a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional pastries and desserts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
