Job Description

The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces. The ideal candidate will ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floors
  • Replenish guest room amenities, such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinks
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and meeting rooms
  • Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the appropriate department
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns
  • Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with other housekeeping team members to ensure efficient room turnover
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors
  • Adhere to established cleaning procedures and quality standards
  • Respect guest privacy and handle lost and found items according to hotel policy
  • Assist in deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance as needed

Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience in housekeeping or a comparable role is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated capacity to operate autonomously and efficiently in a high-pressure environment is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to upholding superior standards of cleanliness are imperative.
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with guests and colleagues are required.
  • Robust physical endurance and the capability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and prolonged standing, are necessary.
  • Willingness to accommodate various shift schedules, including weekends and holidays, is mandatory.
  • Proficient knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment is expected.
  • A professional demeanor and dedication to fostering a collaborative work environment are crucial.
