Job Description

Minor Hotels is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated opening of Queens Wharf Residences, and we are searching for an enthusiastic and skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead, train, and develop the housekeeping team, while assisting in the management of all housekeeping operations for the property, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in rooms, public spaces, and common areas. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the property in rooms, public spaces, and common areas.
  • Build and nurture professional relationships with housekeeping staff members, clients, and all contractors.
  • Supervise, train, and guide housekeeping team members, ensuring continuous improvement in cleaning standards and service quality.
  • Support the housekeeping team in providing exceptional cleaning services to meet guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily on-the-job training for cleaning employees to promote skill development and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, maintenance activities, and inventory levels.

Hourly rates: 

Monday - Friday: $32.25 per hour + super 

Saturday: $38.70 per hour + super 

Sunday: $45.15 per hour + super

Qualifications

  • Experience in the supervision of a housekeeping team
  • Experience controlling and maintaining budgets, all operating supplies, replacements, and consumables
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong eye for detail, and ability to follow procedures and set the standard for cleanliness
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded
