Kids Club Attendant

The Kids Club Attendant helps in planning and implementing the daily activities for children, helps with safety and assists in maintaining a clean and orderly room and the Kids Club.

  • Treat each child with dignity and respect.
  • Recognizes and considers the individual needs of each child.
  • Checks medical condition as written in the registration form.
  • Helps children learn to think creatively and respect themselves and others.
  • Open, clean and prepare Kids Club for daily activities.
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the Kids Club
  • Assist in planning and implementing the daily program for children.
  • Works to prevent injuries and accidents and handles them appropriately if they occur.
  • Dress kids as needed and change diapers.
  • Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in the Kids Club area.
  • Sanitize toys and play equipment.
  • Interact with the children in a positive and age-appropriate manner.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed as needed within the day.
  • Follow kids club Operation Childcare Standards, Policies procedures, and Health guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as requested by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in childcare or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with children in a recreational setting
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Creativity in designing and implementing engaging activities for children
  • Ability to work with children of various ages and backgrounds
  • Basic first aid knowledge and understanding of safety protocols
  • Experience in organizing and leading group activities
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed
  • Physical stamina to participate in active games and outdoor activities
