Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Butcher to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As the Chief Butcher, you will lead our meat department, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee all aspects of the butchery operation, including meat cutting, processing, and packaging
  • Lead and mentor a team of butchers, providing training and guidance on best practices
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing meat products
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain product excellence
  • Interact with customers, providing expert advice on meat selection and preparation
  • Collaborate with other departments to create innovative meat products and special cuts
  • Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new techniques or products as appropriate
  • Ensure all meat products meet halal standards and local preferences

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in professional butchery with strong leadership and team management skills
  • Expert knowledge of meat cuts, preparation methods, and butchery techniques
  • In-depth understanding of food safety practices, HACCP principles, and UAE food safety regulations
  • Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and customer service
  • Expertise in halal butchery practices and familiarity with local and international meat grading standards
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Current food safety certification; professional butchery certification preferred
