In 1993, a simple but remarkable concept took root in Portland, Oregon. That concept was to handcraft superior chocolates – chocolates that would not only taste exquisite, but that would look exceptional, as well. The result would be a chocolate indulgence for all the senses.

From that initial idea grew Moonstruck Chocolate Company, where to this day we still handcraft each piece, using only the finest ingredients. We pair our own decadent chocolate with fresh flavors found in the Pacific Northwest and beyond, and then hand-decorate each piece with intricate care.

Acts as the customer-facing ambassador of the brand and company, interacting with and assisting customers in a timely, professional manner. Keeps the shop clean, orderly, and stocked while working independently and as part of a team to reach individual and store goals. Expertly trained in all products and how to anticipate customer needs. This position is the beginning of a career at Moonstruck Chocolate Co.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
•    Interacts with customers in a professional manner, addressing questions and suggesting products as necessary
•    Maintains cleanliness of café to Moonstruck standards
•    Rapidly and precisely runs orders through POS
•    Make drinks to order
•    Assist customers with selecting products and build custom boxes to order
•    Develop a deep understanding of the company, brand, products, and offerings
•    Sales training with sales trainer to learn upselling techniques and customer service
 

•    Previous barista and FoH/customer service experience a plus
•    Exceptional sales skills in a guest service environment
•    Knowledge of artisan chocolate a plus, passion for artisan chocolate a must!
•    Multnomah Food Handlers Permit must be acquired within 10 days of employment
•    OLCC Server certification (at all locations)
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
•    Job requires standing for extended periods of time (4+ hours)
•    Stooping, bending, and lifting up to 25lbs on occasion

Pay Rate: $12.50 an hour, full time or part time, non-exempt position
