NASTAD (National Alliance of State & Territorial AIDS Directors) is a leading non-partisan non-profit association that represents public health officials who administer HIV and hepatitis programs in the U.S. Our singular mission is to end the intersecting epidemics of HIV, viral hepatitis, and related conditions. We do this work by strengthening domestic and global governmental public health through advocacy, capacity building, and social justice.
Each of NASTAD's six programmatic teams - Health Care Access, Health Systems Integration, Drug User Health, Hepatitis, Health Equity, and Prevention - interpret and influence policies, conduct trainings, offer technical assistance, and provide advocacy mobilization for U.S. health departments and ministries of health around the world to improve health outcomes for people living with HIV and viral hepatitis.
Job Description
Essential Duties
Support project planning, including updates to project management tools and tracking timelines and progress toward deliverables
Coordinate with all team members to monitor progress on projects and inform resource allocation
Support project meetings and monitor progress on key deliverables
Evaluate potential problems and consult with the project director to develop solutions
Manage project-related files by ensuring that all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored, including updates to the team’s knowledge base and customer relationships management system (CRM)
Direct correspondence across the team and guide the development of work plans, memos, meeting minutes, and related email communications
Communicate with NASTAD team members, subject matter experts, and HD staff to clarify project requirements, scope and objectives
Support the team in monitoring expenses and coordinate the project’s budget management with the Finance and Accounting team
Contribute to federal funder reporting and documentation.
Assist with the onboarding of new team members.
Interact with and respond to the needs of health department staff members in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience, Expertise, and Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4 years of work experience is equivalent to a Bachelor degree) and 1-3 years of relevant work experience
Experience and training in project management
Experience with day-to-day budget management
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Preferred: experience using a CRM (Salesforce) and project management software (MS Project)
