Job Description
The Enterprise Architecture team enables strategic alignment of our Enterprise platforms to the Operations & Technology Unified Architecture vision by optimizing the application landscape through application rationalization, reducing the number of bespoke solutions, standardizing enterprise capabilities, influencing change and innovation, increasing solution re-usability, and fostering collaboration between our Product, Engineering and Business Solutions partners. As an Enterprise Architect at NBCUniversal, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's technology vision and will work closely with business leaders across the company to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs while aligning with the overall business strategy. This horizontal role plays a significant part ensuring our Enterprise solutions scale across NBCU and support O&T’s long-range vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long-term enterprise architecture strategy and standards across NBCUniversal’s portfolio of broadcast, cable, news, sports, parks, and digital properties, incorporating the latest developments, innovations, and best practices in enterprise architecture, including AI, cloud-native architectures, and serverless computing.
- Provide architectural leadership and expertise for strategic initiatives including M&A, integration, core system transformations, and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Lead adoption of new technologies/methods like cloud, microservices, API-driven architecture, DevOps, and agile development, while also ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of NBCUniversal's enterprise architecture.
- Consult with business and technology leaders on strategic needs, advise on optimal solutions, and align roadmaps, leveraging your deep understanding of the latest technologies and trends, as well as your expertise in enterprise architecture.
- Drive architectural governance through principles, standards, guidelines, and architectural reviews, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Represent architecture in executive forums and communicate technology strategy and progress to leadership, leveraging your excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Maintain immersive knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and their applicability to business goals, ensuring that NBCUniversal's enterprise architecture is well-positioned to meet the future needs of the company.
- Promote seamless collaboration between architecture, infrastructure, security, and development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Develop innovative solutions that enable achievement of strategic goals and vision, leveraging your deep understanding of enterprise architecture, your knowledge of the latest technologies and trends, and your expertise in leading and developing teams.
- Manage and guide the organization through technological changes, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Understand and manage the financial implications of architectural decisions, optimizing for cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in professional development activities, such as conferences, certifications, and workshops, to continually enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.8+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of successful digital media or relative supply chain projects
- 8+ years of experience working in the consulting industry for technical or media specific clients
- 8+ years of experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, or analytical skills
- 8+ years of proven experience on influencing technology solutions across various cross-functional teams
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
- 5+ years of experience with micro-service-based architecture and cloud-based technology
- 5+ years of experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with an Enterprise Architecture management software solution
- Previously held roles as an Enterprise or Solution Architect within a Media company
- Expert knowledge of architectural styles, principles, standards, and leading practices, including the latest developments, innovations, and best practices in AI, cloud-native architectures, and serverless computing.
- Deep hands-on expertise across IT modernization and Digital transformation principles and tactics including Cloud, Edge computing, Micro-services, Agile development, Containerization, DevOps, AI-First, AI-Ready unified data platforms etc.
- Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- TOGAF or Zachman certification
- Previously held roles in Product Management, Post-Production, Studio Production, IT, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Media Operations
- Passion for keeping up to date on latest emerging platforms and trends in the distribution & production space
- Passion for mentoring and developing architecture teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
- Ability to think strategically and to develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Ability to manage change effectively and to lead others through the change process.
Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
