Job Description

As a Freelance Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our production team in various phases of production. From researching players and teams to assisting with editing and preparing scripts, you will contribute to the creation of engaging sports content for our views.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research players, teams, stories, and statistics
  • Assist production personnel in all phases of production
  • Support in editing pieces, preparing scripts, coordination, and conducting necessary research where required
  • Assist with and create graphics
  • Screen and log video footage
  • Research, prepare, and insert statistics to be displayed on tickers
  • Continue to enhance skills necessary to autonomously assume various roles in sports production, such as editing sports television and/or video segments, including highlight packages, features, bumpers, and teases. This involves cueing shots, securing footage, and collaborating effectively with assigned editors to ensure seamless content creation.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough knowledge of both local and national sports
  • Solid attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comprehensive understanding of sports statistics and abbreviations
  • Proficient in grammar and spelling skills to ensure accuracy and clarity in written communications
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in written form, to effectively convey information and ideas
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional business hours

LOCATION: This role is onsite at our New York City headquarters. 

REPORTS TO: Coordinating Content Manager 

In accordance with applicable NYC law, the estimated hourly rate for this role is $19.00 - $22.50 commensurate with experience.
