Job Description
The Salesforce Business Analyst will be an integral member of the Studio Distribution Tech Ops team supporting Global TV Distribution and will be responsible for a suite of Salesforce applications supporting finance, sales, legal and strategy business units.
The primary role of the Salesforce Business Analyst is to act as a liaison between business partners and IT Teams, supporting the solution delivery lifecycle for the Global TV Distribution application portfolio under the direction of the Manager, Business Solutions.
- Be a proactive product owner and work alongside developers, support consultants, IT infrastructure, vendors, and different business verticals to support the Global TV Distribution business.
- Execute Production Support activities including Salesforce system administration, configuration, and outlining Salesforce technical architecture for enhancements and bug fixes.
- Understand Global TV Distribution business goals and objectives and communicate them effectively to various internal stakeholders.
- Execute on product management, business analysis, process mapping, functional architecture, testing, and system integrations.
- Provide trouble-shooting capabilities to assess, identify, and engage in resolution on reported application issues for daily production support.
- Provide training, business support and guidance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to provide input on end-to-end technical solutions.
- Create and execute test cases when required.
- Be a change agent and a knowledge keeper to support the successful business adoption of new IT solutions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2+ years of solid hands-on experience with Salesforce.com
- Minimum of 2+ years of client facing and business systems analysis experience
- Minimum of 2+ years in application development and SDLC
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience leading the analysis, extraction, and documentation of business requirements and testing on projects, system enhancements and defects
- Demonstrated understanding of IT project management, SDLC processes and methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile Scrum and associated best practices, leveraging tools such as JIRA (or other project management tools)
- Experience identifying gaps, risks, and impact for solution recommendations
- Production support experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - comfortable and confident communicating to all levels of the organization, both business and IT
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Admin Certification (highly preferred)
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning components
- Experience with Media/Entertainment, studio-based TV Distribution, or finance systems as an analyst or consulting professional
- Experience with Smartsheet
- Experience with user experience and wireframe/mockup creation
- Experience with business intelligence and analytical tools
- Ability to run/write simple SQL queries for data analysis
- Experience with data architecture, data warehouse and middleware/ETL tools and technologies
- Has worked within a project team over multiple geographic / international locations.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
