Job Description

The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR leadership, direction, and expertise for the Corporate Finance organization and broader finance function.  In collaboration with the Finance HR team, this person will provide day to day client support and strategic HR solutions for the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Controllership, Strategy and Procurement teams.

This role will partner closely with business leaders in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, change management, employee coaching, compensation strategies, succession planning, training & development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness, and employee communication.

  • Drive key HR initiatives including but not limited to staffing, performance management, compensation strategies, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, recruitment and retention, organizational effectiveness, and employee communication
  • Partner and collaborate with the Corporate Finance leadership team to align and execute HR strategies in support of business initiatives
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Finance professionals related to career development and goals.  Build bench strength within the functions by identifying training and development opportunities for finance talent throughout NBCUniversal
  • Work with managers and talent acquisition to focus on recruitment and retention of internal and external talent
  • Manage employee relations issues including organizational structures and investigations
  • Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, acting as an employee advocate
  • Provide direction and support for our various pipeline and talent development programs ensuring its visibility and utilization across the Finance community 
  • Work closely and partner effectively with business HR leaders to ensure consistent HR practices across the Finance organization and function
  • Develop strong relationships with HR partners and across NBCU
  • Build relationships with leaders and employees across the finance function
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study
  • 7+ years relevant professional level HR experience

  • Demonstrated ability to translate 'big picture' business strategy into an executable HR plan

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
