Job Description
The Ad Sales Finance Sr. Manager is responsible for core ad sales finance processes and is a key player on the team supporting NBC News, CNBC & MSNBC, and the broader NBCU portfolio. This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU Ad Sales through daily exposure/interaction with Pricing, Sales, Planning, Marketing, Research, and Division Finance functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, own, and maintain financial models for ad sales revenue for Budget, Long Range Plan, and Quarterly Forecast as well as weekly pacing/reporting against these forecasts
- Work closely with Planning/Inventory, Sales, and other operational teams to identify financial risks/opportunities and communicate to finance leadership
- Work with Strategic Planning and Sales Leadership providing support, analyses, and insights to help drive revenue including:
- Inventory/capacity utilization & analysis
- Pricing Analysis
- Own Revenue Recognition/Monthly Close Processes
- Improve depth of existing reporting to provide better analytical tools for both Finance and Sales teams
- Perform ad hoc analyses as needed
- Report directly to and provide ongoing support/coverage for Sr. Director, Ad Sales Finance
Qualifications
- Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in financial management and analysis
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Solid analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills – must be comfortable and confident interacting with senior management
- Ability to create and deliver meaningful presentations at appropriate levels of detail that “tell the story” to all levels of the organization from entry-level staff to senior management
- Accuracy and attention to detail and deadlines
- Excellent organization skills and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Resourceful self-starter who can work independently
Desired Characteristics
- Prior Ad Sales experience
- Prior management experience is a plus

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
