Job Description

NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users. The product portfolio is aligned around critical NBCU functions such as Content/Title Management, Data & Analytics, Scheduling & Distribution, and Content Sales.

As a part of the Product team, you will be responsible for products in the Titles and Metadata domain. You will be in communication with clients on anything product related, including development progress, deliverables, and timelines. You will lead grooming sessions, execute product demos, and walk throughs. You are an expert in your area’s product features, capabilities and functionality. You will be a consultant on new multi-product initiatives or programs. You will be a mentor to product specialists.

Responsibilities:

· Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of an API product

· Manage feature roadmap, and prioritization of capabilities and features of an API product

· Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, translate requirements into well documented product features

· Lead grooming sessions to maintain a consistently up-to-date backlog of clearly defined features/stories

· Fully document product features and capabilities in JIRA, ensuring all stories have acceptance criteria that is clear and can be measured

· Collaborate across teams and with architecture and solutions leaders, to identify the best technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
  • Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management, as well as identifying an MVP.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as an API and/or Technical Product Owner
  • Experience in Film / Television (ideally with knowledge of Production / Post-Production workflows), Media, Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
  •  At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience
  • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
  • Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative

 

Remote Workers: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence. Salary Range: $110,000 - $145,000
