New Light Technologies is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide customer-facing consulting services, subject matter expertise, engineering services, and operational support as part of the engineering and architecture team in designing, deploying, and operating a mission-critical, converged network. The objective of this procurement is to assist in the engineering, implementation, and operation of client’s Government Service Provider Network supporting and connecting critical District of Columbia government infrastructure. The individual will provide design recommendations based on industry expertise in requirements analysis, functional design, and deployment of complex technology solutions across enterprise and service provider networks.

• Computer Science, Electrical or related Master’s Degree Required
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Routing & Switching (Active) Required
• Analysis, design, and implementation of Cisco routers, switches and firewalls Required 6 Years Expert
• Design and Implementation of IP and MPLS in an ISP core network Required 6 Years Expert
• Design and transition planning of IPv6 in a large scale ISP environment Required 3 Years Proficient
• Hands on experience and deep understanding of routing protocols including BGP and OSPF Required 6 Years Expert
• Design/Implementation of Cisco ASR and Nexus platforms in an ISP environment Required 4 Years Proficient
• Experience in design, configuration and support of Carrier Ethernet (Packet Optical) systems Required 5 Years Expert
• Experience in PBB-TE/MPLS-TP or Layer 2 transport technology Required 5 Years Proficient
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of Ciena 6500 and Ciena 4200 DWDM Systems Required 5 Years Proficient
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of Ciena Carrier Ethernet product line (5410, 51XX, 39XX) Required 5 Years Proficient
• Experience working with government customers Required 8 Years Proficient
• Experience working with service provider/carrier environments Required 6 Years Proficient
• Experience working with business and service architecture teams Required 6 Years Proficient
• Understanding of IP service implementation, routing and switching protocols Required 6 Years Expert
