Job Description
The Industrial Electrician will troubleshoot, repair and inspect a wide variety of equipment, in both indoor and outdoor applications, in a continuous operational environment.
The Industrial Electrician should have:
- Knowledge of electrical principles and wiring specification codes
- Knowledge of and experience with PLCs
- Experience working with motors, transformers, circuit breakers, electronic controls and other various equipment
The Industrial Electrician will:
- Analyze and interpret one lines, wiring diagrams, sketches and diagrams to select a logistical approach to troubleshooting, tracing, and testing circuits
- Modify, maintain and install PLC programs
- Perform electrical isolation of equipment for safety of self and others, while minimizing interference to operations
- Advise operators, mechanics and other electrical maintenance personnel of standard operating procedures and requirements for electrical equipment and controls
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- 5 years relevant work experience as an industrial electrician
- 2 year degree in Electrical Technology is a plus
- Basic PC literacy (Word, email, data entry)
- Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be willing to work night shift
