Job Description

The Solution Analyst (Manufacturing) provides direct support for multiple applications and systems across various functional business areas. Some of these applications are critical to daily business operations.

This position will have a global impact across multiple geographic regions and will also monitor industry trends and proposes solutions for process improvement.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop strong internal and external business process enablement relationships and act as a point for demand prioritization, resourcing and execution.
  • Perform deployments of Global Manufacturing Information Systems to O-I, affiliate, licensee and joint venture production facilities.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade core Manufacturing Information systems, applications, databases, and utilities.
  • Scope, implement, test, and deploy new features and versions of core applications, databases, and utilities based on business demand.
  • Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure technical compatibility and alignment to business requirements, while establishing and maintaining a high level of user trust and confidence in IT’s knowledge and concern for user’s business needs.
  • Effectively interface with business contacts to draw out unexpressed business needs, as well as assessing those needs for both technical and business suitability.
  • Address process breakdowns and identify opportunities to automate, streamline or increase efficiency.
  • Utilize process and data flow diagrams to document, identify or uncover process redundancies, and clarify key decision points.  
  • Propose solutions and upgrades to existing systems based on established portfolio lifecycles.
  • Provide mentoring and functional guidance on systems and processes to other team members.
  • Create and maintain end-user and operational support documentation for multiple Global Manufacturing Information Systems.
  • Provide training to users of new and existing systems.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support for the O-I Manufacturing Information Systems portfolio, as required.
  • This position requires an individual who can plan their own work with some guidance, contributes abilities and ideas to team activities, and works across teams to achieve group goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Information Technology or relevant business experience.
  • Minimum 2 years directly supporting Manufacturing Systems.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English - both written and verbal

Travel: 

  •        25% travel - domestic or international

Additional Information

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is based upon the grade of the role, Intermediate or Associate level. $66,560 for Associate / $84,700 - $105,800 Intermediate. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
