Job Description
The Human Resources department is committed to driving O-I's business success and cultural transformation globally by creating and implementing strategies, processes and initiatives, that result in great leadership and talent across the firm, an energized and engaged workforce, and a high performing organization.
Job Purpose:
- To enable the business strategy by ensuring the design and delivery of a high performing organization, the selection of top talent, developing and rewarding people and promoting O-I culture
- To provide BSC with a strong HR business partnership to support objectives achievement by answering to the staffing needs, developing talents, designing the organization structure and sizing it
- To define HR strategy, goals and mission for BSC
- To implement required policies and procedures, identify and implement needed tools to provide support in an efficient way to ensure the skills within BSC at the right level to achieve the objectives
Key Responsibilities:
Organization Design and Effectiveness
Continued focus on providing global functional support to drive Best Total Cost strategy by:
- Participating in the development of best practices, policies and procedures to meet business need, improve service and cost performance
- Interfacing on a regular basis with employees, managers for all questions they may have
- Giving guidance on disciplinary and legal cases to manage
- Ensuring that critical cases are identified and properly managed as early as possible in the process
- Keeping up-to-date on the market trends
- Anticipating and preparing organization evolutions taking into account the business evolution, regarding all HR and management issues
- Guaranteeing the social climate of the BSC by checking and validating all the communication made on social topics related to BSC
- Managing and cascading the corporate culture of quality and social responsibility policies (i.e.: Code of Conduct)
- Being responsible to deploy and ensuring the respect of EHS and Security recommendations guidelines and rules within the site
- Participating in the audits for the HR related questions
Performance Management
- Driving business results by ensuring an effective performance management system that better aligns performance criteria to business objectives and enhances development conversations throughout the year
- Proposing improvement & breakthrough in existing processes in order to increase customer satisfaction and optimize costs
Total Remuneration
- Developing of cost effective, market based compensation and benefits systems that will attract, motivate and retain top talent
- Overseing HR administrative tasks (eg. Payroll, benefits, relocation management, etc.) to ensure effectiveness and accuracy in implementation and execution
- Managing medical and welfare activities
- Prepare and properly implement the budget (compensation and benefits) for BSC
Learning and Development
- Ensuring cost effective training and development programs are in place to meet immediate business needs and develop skills for the future
- Organising and carrying out recruitment strategy with managers
- Participating in the development of performance management and professional development processes (performance, competencies and talents)
- Driving, developing and controlling the professional and competencies development process by identifying with the manager the short and long competency requirements and offering and implementing a relevant (in terms of cost, quality and time) training plan so as to meet the entity’s objectives
- Contributing to the development of a good work environment with managers, employees and staff representatives by identifying, analysing and addressing risks and establishing, fostering constructive dialogue
- Evaluating training programs and suggest future options for continual learning
- Ensuring succession program is defined and properly implemented
- Anticipating the critical talent pool evolution, identifying the competencies gap, planning the development actions, and ensuring the mobility and the appropriate on boarding of key and staff roles
- Coaching and advising the management on HR related issues
Workforce Planning
- In collaboration with the Finance Business HR Partner, developing strategic workforce planning process and tools to ensure the business has access to the right talent to effectively execute the business strategy
- Participating and managing directly the implementation and organizational restructuring, operational initiatives, recruiting strategies, employee and legal issues, performance management, organizational leadership, employee development and compensation and benefits
Network activities
- To defend the interest of multinational BSC, to optimize the cost and service, to maintain & develop contacts with authorities in order to facilitate procedures (mainly in respect of work permits, housing, communication) and to promote the image of multinational corporation by emphasizing their economic contribution and respect of best practice
- To play a major role in the social integration within the local community (i.e.: integration of minorities, management of local employment)
- Together with the HR Country Leader, Poland & Estonia, is the representative of the site in front of local authorities
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Psychology, Economy, Management, Law, Human Resources or Sociology
- 4 years of working experience in HR department including 3 years on people management - related position
- Change Management professional experience
- Proven track record of successful projects delivery
- Language skills:
- Polish (Mother tongue)
- English (fluent)
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
- HR management system

Reports directly to HR Leader, Poland & Estonia.

Minimal travel required for this position - less than 10%.
