Job Description

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and coordinate human resources activities throughout a life cycle of an employee which includes recruitment, development and employee relations through:
    • Develop comprehensive HR strategies that enhance organizational performance.
    • Lead HR transformation initiatives to improve employee engagement and productivity.
    • Strategic talent management
    • Implement competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain talented employees.
  • Ensure the organization complies with employment laws, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Create a culture that drives ‘Our safe Behaviours’, The OceanaGold Way and Respect at work.
  • Influences key stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners, to align their actions with organizational strategy.
  • Designs and leads workforce planning strategies that support long-term business goals
  • Influence strategic decision-making through data-driven insights,
  • Continuously improve processes and systems to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate the performance review process and help employees if they face any challenges during the same.
  • Assess and refine the work culture to ensure it aligns with the organization’s overall mission and vision.
  • Create a culture that drives ‘Our safe Behaviours’, The OceanaGold Way and Respect at work.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Asset President – Didipio Operations and other internal and external parties.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or any related field. Master’s degree in human resources or organizational development is highly desirable.
  • >10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources roles
  • 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role or management position
  • Proven experience in managing key HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and programs aligned with business strategies.
  • Strong understanding of local employment laws and regulations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, employee engagement strategies, talent management and organizational development
  • Familiarity with HRIS(Human Resource Information System) and HR technologies
  • Understanding of compensation, benefits, and performance appraisal system
  • Leadership and team management
  • Able to make sound decisions based on HR data, trends, and organizational needs.
  • Able to align HR initiatives with overall business objectives and drive organizational change.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
