Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant specializing in Payroll to join our team in Makati City, Philippines. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of all payroll-related activities.
- Reviews correct cost code alignment and ensures complete posting of journals at month end.
- Identifies the lacking documents and communicates them promptly with the concerned office.
- Reviews payroll and final pay calculations and provides corrections as needed.
- Monitors the payment processing of payroll and mandatory government contributions and efficiently addresses any potential issues that may affect its timely release.
- Prepare reconciled remittance schedules for SSS/PHIC/Pag-ibig on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly tax schedule for settlement of employee tax dues.
- Prepare annual Alphalist of Creditable withholding tax for submission to the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
- Administer issuance of form 2316 to all employees
- Prepare payroll reports required by BOI,PSA,etc
- Analyzes and verifies the integrity of the overall financial data before any closing period.
- Coordinates with other department team leaders to facilitate the timely completion of financial statements.
- Detects any discrepancy, materiality of transaction or irregularity in a process and takes necessary action within their area of authority.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Implement and maintain payroll systems and procedures.
- Assist in payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll accounting
- Experience with large-scale payroll processing
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- In-depth understanding of Philippine labor laws and payroll regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Adaptability to changing regulations and deadlines
