Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial  Accountant to join our team in Makati City, Philippines. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

  • Prepare month end reports and schedules.
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliations (banks accounts, intercompany).
  • Performs reconciliation via Blackline.
  • Prepares and submit Audit schedules.
  • Review Exploration records and expenses.
  • Prepares Quarterly and Annual Expenditure Report for MGB (FTAA & other tenements).
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits
  • Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations
  • Assist in financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Preferably a Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the financial services sector
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Outstanding time management and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good understanding of financial services industry regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Additional Information

  • Based in Makati City on a 5 days on/2 days off compressed work week
