Job Description
Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team is at the forefront of engineering innovation, providing comprehensive services for large commercial developments, healthcare facilities, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, and military installations. Our expertise includes engineering analysis, design services, and professional consulting, ensuring top-tier quality and world class installations. We also provide building inspection and forensic investigation services. As a member of this team, you will contribute to diverse, high-impact projects, delivering engineering solutions that make a tangible difference in communities and industries.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on our Facilities Engineering and Design Team, you will provide high-level technical support and lead quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) activities. You will act as an advisor on complex projects, applying your advanced experience to independently make recommendations and decisions regarding project design work. This role is critical in conceptualizing and creating unique solutions that deliver elevated, purposeful, and high-quality engineering designs to meet the diverse needs of our projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level project design and review of project documents, ensuring design quality for complex projects across various sectors including commercial developments, healthcare facilities, and more.
- Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts and developing innovative approaches to solve complex challenges.
- Perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure the delivery of designs that meet quality standards and project objectives.
- Conduct research and advise on technical solutions in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
- Direct and advise staff on design approaches to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
- Promote efficiencies and high-quality output within the team, contributing to the development of standards and guidelines for engineering activities.
- Supervise and review the technical assignments of less experienced engineers, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer with at least eight years of progressive engineering experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a comprehensive understanding of International Building Codes.

Typical range for this position is $117,000 to $161,000+ and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
