Job Description

The purpose of this job is to ensure software and processes developed both internally and externally for Pilot Flying J (PFJ) are tested for quality assurance (QA), perform as expected and meet specified objectives.

Essential Functions
1. Oversee and assist with QA activities performed by internal or external testers to ensure that quality processes are maintained throughout projects
2. Ensure that requirement specifications and technical design documents are reviewed to identify appropriate QA testing for software and processes
3. Provide estimates and schedules for QA testing and prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
4. Develop, maintain and execute detailed, comprehensive and well-structured manual/automated test case scripts
5. Execute and record test runs, log and track bugs, enhancements and usability-related issues; share data with project team including vendors
6. Coordinate with business stakeholders, developers and other project resources to discuss issues identified during testing; prioritize and assign issues for resolution prior to project completion
7. Collaborate and meet regularly with company business partners, team members, and vendors to identify and communicate end user needs for support documentation and training
8. Stage and prepare laboratory environments to simulate end user experience, develop and maintain test lab equipment, tools and other resources used during the testing phase
9. Coordinate with business users and other stakeholders to track effectiveness of patches, releases to correct issues, and end user acceptance testing
10. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
11. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures
12. Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent related work experience or a minimum of five years’ operational or support experience within the company required
  • Minimum three years’ testing experience required
  • Quality assurance-related certification preferred
