Product Manager - BIM
- Full-time
Job Description
Procore is seeking a Product Manager to join our Building Information Modeling (BIM) team and lead our BIM Core team. In this role, you will oversee the development of our BIM file processing services for both data and geometry. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to simplify the complexities of BIM so all our end users can take advantage of these powerful and robust file formats. You will conduct market research, perform competitive analysis, engage in customer discovery, and manage the development, release, and promotion of compelling and differentiated products. Your goal is to optimize the performance, standardization, and access of BIM services across our platform.
As a Product Manager, you’ll partner closely with the Director and Senior PM to align strategy, initiatives, and prioritizations for the BIM team. Additionally, this role will require significant cross-team collaboration, coordinating directly with our Construction Intelligence team to ensure BIM can be used effectively in Reporting, Analytics, and with CoPilot. Clear communication and expectation management at executive and team levels will be critical to the success of this role, ensuring alignment, eliminating overlaps in development efforts, and maximizing productivity to deliver value to our customers using agile methodologies.
This position will report to the Director of Product and be located in our Austin, TX offices. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.
What you’ll do:
Gain a deep understanding of BIM technology, file formats (e.g., IFC, Revit, DWG), and visualization standards to communicate effectively with technical teams and customers.
Foster close collaboration between engineers, data scientists, and AI experts to ensure seamless integration of BIM with reporting, analytics, and AI solutions.
Define measurable goals around file processing efficiency, cross-platform access, and AI readiness to guide the technical team.
Ensure solutions work efficiently across web, mobile, and desktop by leveraging technologies like WebAssembly (WASM) and cloud-based optimizations.
Work with engineers to normalize data from varying BIM file formats, ensuring clean and structured models that can be processed consistently and connected across the Procore platform.
Prioritize initiatives that reduce model load times, optimize visualization, and ensure the system can scale to handle large datasets.
What we’re looking for:
3+ years of Product Management experience at an enterprise SaaS software company, preferably with experience building AI/ML, data, and analytics products through a platform-oriented approach
Experience working with data teams (data engineers, data scientists, software developers, data analysts, etc.), product designers, business stakeholders and end-users
Customer-centric approach and experience collaborating and conducting discovery with large enterprise companies
Experience scaling products and successfully driving their adoption
Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams in an agile software development environment
Experience managing products and rollouts with complex dependencies across multiple autonomous product teams
Ability to effectively communicate trade-offs for decisions through strong written and verbal skills
Strong analysis and synthesis skills, demonstrating the ability to break down problems into components structured into platform-first solutions
Strong listening skills; Product Management is equally about inquiring as it is advocating
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, UX Design, or a related field is preferred
