Job Description

Senior Project Manager: A mid-level role for those who have demonstrated success managing projects and are ready to take on more complex projects, integrated programs and management of people. This role will own their projects and run them autonomously and inform or escalate to their ADPM/DPM as needed.

DO  YOU…

Creates and maintains project timelines

Distribute project status reports and recaps

Provides oversight/support to associate APM/SAPM/PM to ensure their tasks are prioritized appropriately and timelines and estimates are accurate

Schedules internal team meetings and captures notes from internal meetings and sends out project recaps

Coordinates cross-functionally to manage expectations and mitigate bottlenecks

Proactively communicates with other departments about upcoming workloads; arrange for additional support/resources in advance

Setup and manage routes in PHQ or via Teams task (ensure routes are not sitting unnecessarily, update stage deadlines as needed, identify situations where a group route/IRs is appropriate)

Reviews routes to confirm queries are answered and comments are prescriptive/complete

Identifies interdependencies between projects to ensure project plans leverage efficiencies when possible

Ensures briefs are complete, client approved and that key milestones are correctly documented for projects they own

Begins to identify risk mitigation strategies

Supports Associate Director/Director with SOW development and identify when projects need to kick-off

Communicates project timeline key milestones and updates

Flags out-of-scope requests and presenting solutions to client feedback

Responds to client communications for projects they own

Participates in proposing recommendations for budget and timeline shifts

Works with finance on burn analysis and budget shifts

Networks with other capabilities for more complex projects to understand their service offerings

RESPONSIBILITIES

Has developed a mastery of project management fundamentals and effective communication

Serves as mentor (and manager if applicable) to APM's, SAPM's, and PM's

Begins to collaborate with fellow SPMs on learnings and best practices

Should focus on strengthening management skills and delegation of work

 

 

 

Qualifications

5-8 years work experience.

Applicable Experience:

Advertising Agency Experience required (3-5 years)

Healthcare/Pharma experience preferred but not required

Managing regulated categories (i.e. financial services, alcohol, tobacco) required

Pharma agency experience

Being able to multitask and work on many different projects at once

Being a leader, having a strong voice

Being able to adapt to different situations

Being resilient, interpersonal savvy

Someone who can plan and align (gather the team when needed) flag hurdles in real time and come with proper solutions

Ensures accountability

Quick learner who collaborates well
