Job Description
Responsible for assembling various documents and/or customer provided materials into completed kits
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-assembly duties such as; prepping boxes, stocking assembly area, gathering materials, and organizing work area
- Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work, collating materials as necessary
- Pick and package a variety of printed materials or related items that require a variety of packing procedures and techniques.
- Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping in accordance with customer specifications
- Count and sort inventory as required
- May prepare shipments of customer samples.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred
- Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
- Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
- Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
- Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
- Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
- Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
- Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
Additional Information
The pay rate for this role at the noted location is $12.00 to $13.50 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
