Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hoist Operator 1 to join our team in Irvine, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating various lifting devices to move materials, products, and equipment within our facility.

  • Operate forklifts and other lifting devices such as fork-grapples, clamps, and elevating platforms to move raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
  • Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and semi-trailer trucks
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies promptly
  • Perform regular safety checks on all lifting equipment
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as lubricating trucks, recharging batteries, and refueling equipment
  • Navigate through warehouse aisles, ramps, and in/out of railroad cars and trucks with precision
  • Ensure proper load balance and adhere to lifting capacity limits
  • Organize and optimize storage areas for efficient material handling

Qualifications

  • Valid forklift certification
  • Demonstrated experience in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Thorough understanding of forklift and load dimensions, as well as lifting capacities
  • Excellent spatial awareness and ability to maneuver in tight spaces
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform job duties throughout a full shift
  • Keen attention to detail for maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Basic math skills for inventory management
  • Ability to assess load balance and stability
  • Time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks
  • Commitment to following all safety protocols and procedures
  • Flexibility to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor) and adapt to changing priorities
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $17.00 - $21.00 per hour.  The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee.  The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location.

In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
