Job Description
RR Donnelley is looking for an SAP FICO business analyst to work with team members in managing enhancements and new functionality projects in our established SAP ECC system.
RR Donnelley’s SAP footprint is focused on core financials and utilizes interfaces with legacy systems for manufacturing and customer invoicing functionality. We are looking for candidates that have experience in accounting, extensive SAP FICO experience, and experience managing small projects.
The ideal candidate will have hands on accounting, configuration, program development, and small-project management skills focused on SAP accounting functionality.
Responsibilities
- Participate in project management by managing small to medium size projects from definition through implementation
- Participate in project planning by providing estimated hours and target dates for all project related tasks before development begins
- Define application requirements by reviewing requests from our business partners and conducting “solutioning” sessions
- Work with legacy systems teams to design, build, test, and implement data exchange interfaces with legacy systems
- Create design and training documentation for new functionality and projects
- Lead training sessions with users on new functionality
- Gain user approval by developing system prototypes to present to users for their review
- Communicate project status by creating written status reports on a predetermined schedule for large development efforts
- Responsible for the configuration and daily support of the SAP FI and CO modules that are already implemented with a focus on AP and related functions
- Assist users in determining the best method for data reporting, either via standard reports, table downloads, ABAP query, or customer program
- Troubleshoot user issues
- Research in SAP OSS and implementation of OSS notes
- Mentor business users and teammates on FI related to Accounts Receivable and Collections.
Qualifications
- SAP configuration in FI (GL, AP, AR, FA) and CO (PCA, Cost Centers, IO)
- Experience with MM, Purchasing, SD, or PP is a plus
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting interfaces with legacy systems
- Program design and testing including requirements gathering
- Training development and delivery skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of accounting, actual accounting experience is a plus
- Strong problem solving skills, organizational skills, and communication (written and oral) skills
Required Experience
- Candidate should possess a 4-year degree in accounting, business, computer science or related field
- Hands on accounting experience is desired
- Minimum five years of SAP R/3 Finance (FI) & Controlling (CO) configuration and implementation experience:
- SAP FI/CO configuration experience in FA, A/R, A/P, and GL
- SAP FI/CO configuration experience in CCA/PCA
- Knowledge of and experience with integration of FI/CO with other SAP modules
- Knowledge of and experience with interface design and support
- Deep understanding in accounting business processes
- Functional knowledge of common Financial interfaces or programs
- Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or higher is required
- Experience with Ariba Procurement application would be a plus
- Experience with SAP Security would be a plus
Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $74,600 to $132,500 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
