Job Description

This position is responsible for leading, motivating and supervising the Inside Sales team in the planning, development, implementation, delivery and execution of the Sales Team's revenue and objectives in order to meet and exceed the set targets, while also action as an individual contributor selling Redcat Racing products and marketing solutions into retail dealers and dropship partners through outbound and inbound telephone contacts. Builds new business through prospecting, account reactivation, up selling into existing customers and acquiring new customers. Promotes the Redcat Racing brand by providing professional marketing and sales solutions to dealer partners.

Position Functions:

  • Supervision and direction of the sales organization
  • Development, creation, implementation and execution of the Redcat Racing sales methodology, departmental, goals/objectives, quotas and overall revenue obtainment.
  • Identification, recommendation and participation at National Tradeshow events.
  • Proactively calls on prospective partners and develops call campaigns for the sales team
  • Achieve continuous, profitable sales and customer growth performance by closing new business leads / sales opportunities
  • Ensure new business leads / sales opportunities are quickly and effectively followed up and accurately qualified and documented
  • Establish business relationships with active dealers and assist them in developing and  executing marketing strategies that can grow their sales
  • Ensures that the sales team is documenting all selling activities in the NetSuite ERP solution, including contacts, opportunities, quotes, orders and accurate forecasts.
  • Conduct customer, prospect and end user surveys to determine new and improved product and packaging ideas that will result in gaining new market share
  • Identify niche target market segments that Redcat wishes to dominate and then develop and execute target market strategies to capture significant market share in these segments
  • Consistently improve the Redcat sales, marketing and messaging strategy to establish Redcat as the thought leader in the R/C car and truck hobby industry
  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing training program that will significantly reduce a new hires ramp up time to profitability
  • Develop and implement social media / marketing campaigns with the marketing department that generate new target market business leads / sales opportunities
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports measuring performance objectives that align to the goals of the company

Qualifications

  • Working experience with inside, tradeshow, B2B and/or B2B Channel sales. 
  • Must enjoy developing new business.
  • Must be able to travel to national tradeshow events.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with NetSuite ERP. 
  • Strategic thinker who excels at developing and executing original ideas with a proven record of success in a highly dynamic work environment. 
  • Able to work on multiple projects at one time, excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and possesses high attention to detail.
