Job Description

The VOE (Value Optimization Engineer) is in charge of identifying, analyzing and implementing value optimization opportunities to reduce all types of costs throughout the value chain of automotive components (planning, designing, engineering, manufacturing, assembling, handling, servicing, recycling, reusing), for all unit groups (powertrain, chassis, engine).

The VOE (Value Optimization Engineer) should support the VOD North America.

Qualifications

·                    BS in engineering (mechanical, aeronautical, automotive, structural, industrial processes, etc).

·                     3 to 5 years of experience in the design and/ or engineering of powertrain and chassis components

·                     General knowledge of process/methods

·                     Basic engine system/cooling

·                     Basic ICE engine design

·                     Basic trans/driveline design

·                     Basic knowledge of electrification tech

·                     Basic knowledge of electrification tech

·                     Basic knowledge of veh arch and key sys/compts

·                     Solid knowledge of the manufacturing processes used to fabricate such components.

·                    Proficient to communicate in technical English language.

·                     General knowledge of the automotive global vehicle development process (all phases).

·                     Oriented to do benchmarking and to implement optimization processes and methodologies.

·                     Basic knowledgeable in CAD systems (NX/ Teamcenter & Catia/ Enovia), this person has to be capable of finding, visualizing, assessing CAD geometries and doing comparison reports.

·                     Soft skills: Self-directed, hands-in, ownership, sense of urgency, action oriented, achiever, leadership
