Are you an experienced Cost Engineer  🚘 With a passion for the automotive industry?🚘 We're looking for a talented individual to join our team! If you have a strong background in manufacturing processes, cost estimation, and are legally able to work in Mexico, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical variable and tooling costs for engine and adapted engine components using activity-based costing methodologies.
• Work from Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and/or samples.
• Provide subject matter expertise to support engineering and purchasing at both working levels and executive leadership.
• Analyze supplier quotes and negotiate appropriate Estimated Development Costs (EDD).
• Collaborate with the Design to Cost initiatives and benchmarking teams.
• Understand and manage the elements of piece cost and investment for various manufacturing processes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing from an ABET-accredited university.
• 5 years of work experience in manufacturing or costing.
• Solid technical knowledge in iron & aluminum casting, forging, machining, turning, grinding, stamping, MIG welding, and final assembly.
• Medium level of proficiency in English (able to talk and undersand in profesional context) and native Spanish
• Ability to transform manufacturing processes into specific costs.
• Basic knowledge of forming tools, fixtures, and their related costs.
• Experience in activity-based costing or cost model development.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple programs and cost details simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business.
• 10 years of experience in the field.
• Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter.

• Hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and attend on-site as required.
