The BIW sealing systems engineer will have had a minimum of 5 years of experience in Bulk Materials Handling in the automotive Industry, straddling design-office and field oversight/commissioning responsibilities, the BIW sealing systems engineer will be responsible of material release in both CAD design tools and PLM systems as well as material applications and specification definition.

Responsibilities:

• Estimating and proposal preparation support
• Mechanical detail engineering for material application in the BIW components.
• Specify Materials for Pumping systems such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat, etcetera.
• Support for Equipment specifications and installations.
• Assembly Structural Design analysis
• Product Design Verification plan and evaluation.
• Process control support
• Project and field management
• Support for Vehicle Launching and Pre-series prototypes.
• Material validation in-Lab

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineer
• Minimum 5 years experience in Bulk Material Handling in the Automotive Industry such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat.
• Excellent knowledge of NX/Teamcenter Software
• Experience in Material Characteristics, Analysis and Lab-Testing
• Product Launching Management Experience
• Availability to travel occasionally
• Advanced English (B2/C1).
