Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector with expertise in aerospace subassembly to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all assembled components and systems meet stringent aerospace standards and specifications. This role is critical to maintaining product integrity and compliance throughout the assembly process.
- Conduct inspections of subassemblies and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Verify the accuracy of dimensions, configurations, and other characteristics using precision measuring tools and devices.
- Document inspection results by completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Perform first article inspections in accordance with AS9102C requirements.
- Assess supplier documentation for compliance with engineering specifications, including special processes.
- Identify and document nonconforming conditions and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with assembly teams to provide real-time feedback and support during the assembly process.
- Assist with internal audits and participate in external audits as needed.
- Maintain calibration records for measuring tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection within the aerospace industry, specifically in subassembly.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (
- Experience with dimensional measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, digital height gauges).
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices and regulations in aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with statistical process control methods and measurement system analysis (MSA).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
