Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Structures Methods Agent with expertise in aerospace subassembly processes. The ideal candidate will support engineering teams by developing, implementing, and optimizing assembly methods for structural components in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Develop and document manufacturing processes and methods for structural subassembly operations, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create detailed work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Analyze assembly issues and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
- Provide technical support and guidance to assembly teams during production, ensuring adherence to established methods.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conformance issues.
- Maintain and update process documentation and ensure all changes are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in training assembly personnel on new processes, tools, and technologies.
- Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and process insights as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, specifically in structures and subassembly.
- Strong understanding of aerospace regulations and quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing ERP systems is advantageous.
