Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for the production of precision components while ensuring adherence to aerospace industry standards and specifications.

  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for machining aerospace components and subassemblies using CAD/CAM software.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of CNC programming with manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct simulations and validate CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency prior to production runs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues during the machining process, making real-time adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor machine performance and make recommendations for improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling setups, and process changes in accordance with quality standards.
  • Assist in training operators on new programs and machining techniques.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization efforts.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of CNC programming experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials used in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
