Job Description
The candidate will be responsible to design, develop, release, and support launch of internal battery thermal protection components. They will also lead and support the development of the thermal barrier material and finding viable alternatives to the current materials. They will also lead and support the thermal barrier attachment techniques and adhesion alternatives. This will include the investigation and testing of these methodologies in the vehicle and the vibration labs. The person will also be responsible to support the BIW, busbars, and module teams with their components as they relate to thermal protection strategies.
This job is located in Auburn Hills, MI. Candidate must be able to work in the US or eligible to TN Visa (Canadian Citizen).
Qualifications
- You must be a Canadian citizen.
- BS Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of HV Battery design.
- OEM Experience with advanced quality tools such as DFMEA, DVPR, function models NX CAD skills.
- Experience releasing components at an OEM or large Tier 1 company.
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter.
- Microsoft Suite experience.
- Academic background in thermodynamics and material properties.
