Job Description

Robotics Product Engineering is responsible for existing released products, ongoing maintenance and ensuring a stable and continued production stream.   We are based in Weston, FL. and one of the more critical subsystems is manufactured and refurbished at a facility in Portage, MI.  It is in the best interest of our customers and our business to invest in a resource on-site at the facility in Portage, MI to learn about and stay close to details at production and be ‘on the ground’ to be able to serve as Robotic – Product Engineering’s point of contact. 

In addition, the refurbishment process is critical to ensure that remanufactured product is as good as ‘new’ with a predictable remaining useful life to avoid failure experience in the hands of the customer.  As a natural progression of the above, 90% of complaint returns will also be added to the responsibilities of this position so that a cohesive feedback control loop from production, complaints, refurbishment and continuous improvements can be monitored for effectiveness. 

Qualifications

  • Mechanical and electrical engineering training
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an electromechanical mechanical environment, medical devices a plus
  • Ability to perform mechanical and electrical assembly
  • Ability to apply mechanical/electrical aptitude to perform troubleshooting
  • Ability to use CREO CAD software, SolidWorks also a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audience
  • Electrical debug experience
  • Familiar with basic test equipment (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope)
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Familiarity with Altium a plus
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
