The RCC manages the care staff in AL by scheduling, evaluating, and supporting the frontline care staff while reporting to the HWD. The RCC should be in close contact with resident families and be instrumental in care plan meetings and service issues as they relate to care.
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Resident Care Coordinator to join our team in Brunswick, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our Assisted Living team members and ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.
- Oversee and schedule Assisted Living team members to maintain optimal staffing levels
- Participate in Care Plan meetings with families and residents, updating Individual Service Plans (ISPs) as resident needs change
- Collaborate with the leadership team in weekly at-risk meetings to address resident needs and concerns
- Implement and manage efficient operational processes, including shower schedules, laundry schedules, and caregiver assignment sheets
- Ensure compliance with company policies and promote best practices in resident care
- Communicate effectively with families, frontline team members, and community management to maintain operational excellence
- Review and optimize care delivery processes to enhance resident satisfaction and well-being
- Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to stay current with industry standards and best practices
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5+ years of caregiver experience, preferably in an assisted living or healthcare setting
- CNA certification preferred
- Proven experience in staff scheduling and team management
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, and team members
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel for scheduling purposes
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team
- In-depth knowledge of assisted living regulations and best practices
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Fluency in English, with strong speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Empathetic and customer-focused approach to resident care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing resident needs and operational requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in healthcare
