We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Senior Analyst, reporting to a Senior Finance & Strategy Manager, who will work as part of TIDAL’s Finance & Strategy team. Finance & Strategy team members have an intimate understanding of the business. We gain this by using analytical tools to evaluate customer and financial trends, answer questions with data-driven insights, and communicate relevant recommendations. This individual will play an integral part in TIDAL’s success by partnering with the Growth/Marketing team to drive efficiency and unlock growth for the business. This individual will also have the opportunity to work across other key initiatives for the business as they become more comfortable. This position can sit in any of Block's US offices or be full-time remote from any US State with the exception of Alaska.

You Will:

• Forecast and analyze financial performance, communicating important takeaways to TIDAL and Block leadership, Block’s Board of Directors, and Investor Relations team

• Support planning and forecasting processes for the TIDAL F&S team 

• Build financial models used to prepare financial reporting deliverables, analyze business trends and drivers, and explain forecast versus actual variances for TIDAL’s business

• Regularly partner across functions and teams to analyze and report on the financial impact of decisions across the company

• Build trust amongst TIDAL and Block’s senior leaders

You Have: 

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience (e.g. strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, investments)

• Self-starter, ability to develop solutions to solve complex or ambiguous problems

• Willingness to work in unstructured environments

• Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (you should be prepared for a case study)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Exceptional judgment and maturity, including an ability to execute independently and work with team members of all levels

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another relevant field

• Commitment to Block's purpose of Economic Empowerment

Even better:

• Experience in music, entertainment, and/or cryptocurrencies

• Experience with SQL and Hyperion is a plus
