Job Description

The Cash App Finance & Strategy Team is seeking a Finance Analytics Manager to join their infrastructure team. In this role you will be an important contributor to the strategic decision-making processes and help establish and scale our performance for Cash App's FP&A and the Analytics Team.

This position can sit in any Cash App/Block Office in the US or be full-time remote from any US state with the exception of Alaska.

You Will:

  • Identify and interpret new data sources using Snowflake, provide recommendations utilizing multiple types of data, business knowledge, and strategic assumptions. You will be critical to decision-making.

  • Support partners across Cash F&S, with projects focusing on financial reporting and business analysis using Tableau across all Cash App products.

  • Respond to operational needs working on ad-hoc projects

  • Track topline metrics and unit economics. Understand changes and their impact in key financial and business metrics. Help to understand user behaviors and provide analytical support to find opportunities and improve services in our business. 

  • Support and work with multiple teams in a virtual environment

  • Own special analytics initiatives in coordination with key stakeholders and cross functional partners to answer tough business questions and drive business performance

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Highly proficient in SQL (window functions, create, joins, UDFs, ETL’s design, there will be a case of study), Tableau (or other visualization tools), Gsheets/Excel (can perform complex function and automate processes)

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience defining and using financial and business metrics (eg, MAU, GPV, GTV, Adjusted Revenue, Gross Profit, COGS) and performing data analysis to identify trends and measure impact.

  • Experience in programming languages and stats packages (e.g. Python, R) to develop data analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis.

  • Experience and familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation.

  • Experience leading projects, including identifying requirements, managing partner expectations.

  • Experience in Banking, SaaS or FinTech company
