Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive, organized and driven individual to join Cash App’s marketing and brand team as a Partnership Associate. This individual will work alongside Cash App’s Brand Partnerships team to manage the day to day relationships with Cash App’s long-term current brand partnerships, work closely with internal and agency cross-functional teams to drive strong execution of new/existing partnership deliverables, as well as manage internal communications that highlight our team’s work. Additionally, this individual will have an interest in staying up to date on trends in the industry while also possessing the ability to vet new partnership opportunities and proactively identify brands and talent to sign. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong written and verbal communicator, enjoys speaking/presenting to groups and building relationships. The person in this role will have a strong impact on Cash App's partnerships team, ensuring all deliverables are met and boosting partner morale. 

You will:

  • Develop, manage and maintain relationships with existing partners. Including but not limited to day to day communications, ensuring all of their deliverables are met in a timely and correct manner, answering specific questions, identifying added value opportunities that will help enhance an overall partnership, etc

  • Lead and ensure succinct, timely and strong execution of internal cross-functional team members to meet overall partnership deliverables

  • Facilitate and assist in managing any contractual changes – including renewals, revision in terms, extensions or make goods

  • Lead internal communication efforts that highlight the work our team does to ensure the company has a strong understanding of how our work supports the overall business. For example, sharing an in depth recaps of a partnership inclusive of metrics, images, results, etc

  • Manage the creation of partner recaps and reporting

  • Work closely with agencies to support a variety of initiatives including influencers, experiential, on-site hospitality and content creation

  • Actively vet inbound opportunities and proactively reach out to interesting, relevant and buzzy potential partners

  • Actively work alongside partners and teammates to enhance and brainstorm new partner activations

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and share learnings with the team

Qualifications

You have:

  • At least 2-3 years of business development or partnership management experience at a team, league, sports brand or agency

  • Experience in Sports Marketing and a deep understanding of sports, brand building, cutting edge marketing and pop culture

  • The ability to garner support from internal experts and external partners to position Cash App’s product against competition

  • Creative problem solver with a scrappy determination to do more with less

  • Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be persuasive, influential and affect change 

  • Ability to lead through influence and work effortlessly across internal teams 

  • Outstanding follow-through and self-starting attitude

  • Thrive in a fast paced and highly matrixed organization

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated success in driving new business from concept, to contract, and through the execution phase

  • The ability to adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet 

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $111,700 - USD $167,500
Zone B: USD $103,800 - USD $155,800
Zone C: USD $98,200 - USD $147,400
Zone D: USD $89,400 - USD $134,000
