Job Description

At Block, we build elegant solutions to solve real problems. As a Senior People Systems Analyst for the People team supporting Workday, you will be responsible for delivering process documentation,  enterprise analysis, configuration and solutions to our business stakeholders spanning across People tools, but not limited to those. You will be involved in cross-functional initiatives supporting all types of activities such as process documentation, process analysis, gap analysis, discovery phases, requirements gathering, testing, training to post implementation and support. 

 

As a Senior People Systems Analyst your goal will be to help Block grow efficiently by building and scaling our People business systems, Workday platform.

 

You will:

  • Recommend, develop/configure, and implement effective/strategic system solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.

  • Work closely with business partners, developers and cross functional teams to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities to mature the Workday infrastructure (Org, Job, Learning, Comp, Talent and Performance).

  • Design and implement new methods, and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of People information within the company leveraging Workday best practices.

  • Support documentation of requirement, configuration, test plans and user acceptance criteria for user story, and functional delivery.

  • Perform program unit tests based on sample data, stipulated functional test conditions and stipulated expected results; resolve any issues of functionality (i.e., debug programme logic errors).

  • Support application configuration, system integrations as well as incident resolution.

  • To accomplish this, you will partner with other teams in our People departments, Payroll and Finance. 

Some projects you will work on: 

  • Troubleshooting our Workday instance when issues are raised via our case management system.

  • Auditing our Workday instance and subsequently improving foundational components like organization structure, data hygiene, integrations, security model, job architecture, Learning Campaigns and business processes. 

Qualifications

You have:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior People Systems Analyst with increasing levels of responsibility on Workday

  • In-depth experience with Workday cross functionally HCM core

  • Workday security, business process design and core experience required

  • Experience with HCM Core setup and architecture of Workday

  • Previous roles in a high growth, tech environment

  • Familiarity with leading cross-functional projects and interacting at all levels

  • Strong relationship building skills coupled with the ability to develop consensus

Even Better:

  • Workday HCM Pro Certification

  • Workday Learning and or Compensation Pro Certification

  • Experience with Workday re-implementation/optimization

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $122,900 - USD $184,300
Zone B: USD $116,700 - USD $175,100
Zone C: USD $110,600 - USD $165,800
Zone D: USD $104,500 - USD $156,700
