Job Description

Perform in-depth statistical analysis on diverse data sets to derive actionable insights, leveraging both structured and unstructured data. Apply a range of analytical techniques to address complex business challenges. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making. Utilise tools such as SAS and Power BI to visualise data and communicate findings effectively. Drive continuous improvement by translating analysis into tangible business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Completed Matric
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree- Mathematics or Applied Mathematics
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree - Statistics or Actuarial Science
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Degree - Mathematical Sciences
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Degree - Economics
  • A tertiary degree in Mathematical Sciences, Actuarial Sciences, or Economics is required for this position

Experience
3 - 4 years
•    Experience in data analysis, preferably in the financial industry or risk management sector.
•    Proven track record of leading analytical projects to deliver actionable insights and drive business outcomes.
•    Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SAS, as well as experience with data visualisation tools like Power BI.
•    In-depth knowledge and experience in property risk and climate change risk management, preferably within the context of home loans portfolios.
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
•    Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement, staying updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory changes relevant to risk management and data analysis.
